Ellie was like a breath of fresh air, a wonderful and understanding friend, generous and caring. She took an interest in all around her and, not an aficionado of rugby myself, I can still hear her in my mind exclaiming in excitement when 'her' team did well in a match on TV. Her enthusiasms were many. She was so courageous in the face of adversity and she has left a hole in our lives.
